Columbus is located at the confluence of the
picturesque and historic Stillwater and Yellowstone Rivers. A
community of 3,000, it offers the benefits of small town living just
45 minutes west of Billings, Montana’s largest city. Primary
industries include trades serving agriculture, primarily cattle and
grain production, and Montana Silversmiths, a manufacturer of western
style silver jewelry sold widely in the U.S. and exported
internationally. Residential construction is currently on the increase
due to demand for homes to serve a variety of commuters ranging from
office workers in Billings to miners extracting ore from the only
platinum/palladium mine in the western hemisphere, located 45 miles to
the south. An abundance of recreation is literally only minutes away.
